Annie has written about many aspects of old Birmingham, such as the Jewellery Quarter, Cadburys Chocolate factory, life on the canals and in the chain-making forges of the Black Country. The stories extend across history from Victorian Birmingham and through the twentieth century, during and after the two World Wars.
Her books have regularly reached the paperback bestseller lists and she has just completed her 30th book set in the region.
