Advancing Governance, Innovation, and Risk Management for Agency Use of AI
The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has issued guidance to federal agencies to strengthen the effective and appropriate use of AI, advance AI innovation, and manage risks from AI in the federal government.
Public Comment
OMB shared a draft of the policy for public input from November 2 – December 5, 2023. On March 28, 2024, OMB issued the final policy, which incorporates many of the perspectives and suggestions offered during the comment period.
