Sarah Gerrard-Jones on Instagram: "There is no need to keep the sticks after your Phalaenopsis Orchid has flowered. They are mainly used to transport the plants so the stem don’t break in transit. After flowering remove the sticks from the pot and let it rebloom in its own unique way. #orchid #orchidlover #plantcare #plantcaretips #houseplants #indoorplants"

woodlark® • ashley on Instagram: "clay flower frogs 🌼 one last summer project— have been seeing these clay flower frogs making their rounds the past few months and I’m excited to get around to trying them out. This particular design was inspired by ones that @bylaurenmcdermott made (thank you!) You all know how I love finding ways to reuse these glass yogurt jars so that’s how I sized them. These can be used to hold cut flowers or to propagate plants and I sealed mine with a waterproof varnish. Materials: glass jar, air dry clay, waterproof sealant Instructions: - Roll clay out - Cut out a circle and use water to smooth out the edges - Create the scalloped edge and smooth - Cut out the holes— I used a metal straw - Let dry completely - Seal with a waterproof glaze/varnish #lowwaste

Nick Rust on Instagram: "In search of a wild new houseplant? Well, here ya go! The white bat flower, or Tacca integrifolia, is an outstanding species of flowering plant from South Asia and Eastern China. It is large, glossy, has a gorgeously elegant flower, and is SUPER EASY to care for. As long as they have enough room to grow, they thrive in low to medium light and like to stay damp. The most difficult part about them is finding one for sale! This is the closest thing to owning an alien or an AI generated flower that is actually real. - #houseplants #houseplant #houseplantclub #bat #plantreel #plantreels #flower #bloom #flowerstagram #plantsofinstagram #plants #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantsmakemehappy #orchidcollector #orchidflower #orchidsofinstagram #orchidlover #plant #nature #nofil

Brenna Estrada on Instagram: "Annual Phlox I am entirely obsessed with it. Easily one of my favorite annuals, I will always grow it. The fragrance is both delicate and elegant. It looks stunning as a filler but is also entirely worthy on its own. #threebrothersblooms #flowerfarmerflorist #islandflowerfarm #cutflowergarden #flowers #phlox #annualphlox #homegrown #julyflowers #annualflowers #pacificnorthwest #pnw"

Sunflower Steve on Instagram: "This was a grass pasture to start with, so it didn't have many broad leafed weeds. I mowed it very short and marked all of my plant spacing and row width using upside down paint. I pressure washed 100 pudding holes and then planted 100 roots. Pressure wash, plant, repeat. Since I didn't disturb any soil between the plants, no new weeds grew. I only had 4 peonies out of 1000 that didn't come up in the spring. I weed whacked between plants and mowed the rows for 2 years while they got established. I mow very short right over the peonies in the spring until I see the peonies start to poke up. Once the peonies are big, they outcompete anything directly under them until after the bloom. I mow once a week until the bloom. It was an experiment, and it seems to
Corey on Instagram: "It’s no secret that many species of mint in the Mentha genus have insecticidal properties due to their mentol, alcohol, and terpene content, but I wanted to test its effectiveness against the birds that have taken a fancy to my blackberry bush. It’s definitely a win, and a great use for the rogue mint sprigs trying to overtake the rest of my garden with their creeping rhizomes. Free, sustainable, simple to make, and effective. These are the kind of simple wins we all can have, and that our planet needs.🙌 #gardeninghacks #gardeningtips #amateurgardener #learnnewthings #experiment #sustainability #nopesticides #holisticapproach #growyourfood #feralpursuits #rewildyourlife #rewilding #earthskills"
