Can be trained on a large retaining wall. The apple blossom like flowers of Chaenomeles speciosa ‘Moerloosei’ (Japanese quince) look wonderful against these grey stone walls. This deciduous shrub has been trained beautifully to ‘flow’ between these windows and will need pruning every year.
