The Gotham City Gazette, or simply Gotham Gazette, is a newspaper publisher located in Gotham City.
History[]
In fall 2003, Candice Long showed Ryan Wilder an article entitled "Batman Defeats The Joker" to mock Ryan about how she was not newsworthy even though she had been abducted.[1]
In 2016, Arthur Brown left clues in the newspaper that he planned to bomb a party full of "Quiz Bowl" champions. Stephanie Brown read the paper and gave the answers to Sophie Moore, so her father could be arrested.[2]
In January 2020, a writer for the Gotham City Gazette attended Lex Luthor's Nobel Peace Prize ceremony. According to Nia Nal, the writer from the Gazette was giving her "angry eyes" because she was saving a spot for Kara Danvers.[3]
Shortly after, the Gotham Gazette reported on the death of Hamilton Dynamics CEO Catherine Hamilton-Kane and the upcoming trial of her husband, former Crows Commander Jacob Kane, as more pieces of evidence against him were being brought to light.[4]

The Gotham City Gazette wrote a front-page article titled "The Detonator Strikes" the day after his first bomb blast. George Adler, Jr. had a copy of the paper in his apartment, which Kate Kane uses as a distraction when she pushed the man.
Later, the newspaper published an article with "Bat by Popular Demand" as the headline after Batwoman returned from her hiatus to apprehend Miguel Robles. Kate laughed as she read the stiry.[6]
Kate read an article entitled "Murdered Gotham University Prof Found in Dumpster" about the death of John Carr, which revealed his body was covered with burn marks.[7]
Luke Fox read an article entitled "Titan" Teslow Commits Grisly Murder on Subway" which described the decapitation of a medic in charge of hiding the condition of Tim Teslow.[8]
"Whatever Happened to Kate Kane?"
The Gotham Gazette wrote a front page article entitled "Whatever Happened to Kate Kane?" after Kate disappeared following the explosion of her private jet over Gotham; Ryan Wilder read the article and learned Kate's biography. Also, Alice found a paper plane of the article with the words "Consider Us Even" written on it, causing her to believe Safiyah Sohail was responsible.[9]
The next morning after the new Batwoman defeated Victor Zsasz, the newspaper printed a front-page article entitled "Bat Girl Magic!" with a picture showcasing that there was an African-American woman wearing the Batsuit. Susan Stevens read and showed the article to Ryan. Later, Luke also showed the article to her, but wondered how the Gotham Gazette even got a picture of Batwoman when only Ryan, Victor, and Mary Hamilton were present at the battle, to which Ryan to reveal that Mary provided it.[10]
Horten Spence was not allowed to write articles for the Gotham Gazette about the arsons of different community centers in Gotham and was ultimately fired. However, after Batwoman stopped Ellis O'Brien's schemes, Horten was rehired at the newspaper.[11]
