"Let's play to win!"
—Toyman's catchphrase[src]

Winslow "Winn" Schott, Jr. (died 2020) was a survivor of the Anti-Monitor Crisis who took refuge on Earth-Prime and a doppelgänger of Winn Schott. He was eventually convinced by Lex Luthor to exact revenge for his father, claiming the mantle of Toyman.

Biography[]

"He was a great man. "Toyman". You only see that name with disdain. You refuse to honor his legacy."
—Winn to his doppelganger

During the Anti-Monitor Crisis, Winn was one of the survivors, having been apparently transported to Earth-Prime through a wormhole and eventually getting arrested 16 hours later.[1]

On his way to jail the transport bus he was in had an accident which was staged carefully by Lex with the help of Brainy so they could employ this Winn into their service. Winn agreed to help since he wanted to bring the Toyman legacy to this new world as the new Toyman. This drew the attention of his doppelgänger on Earth-Prime, Winn Schott, who was living in the future since the Time Police had mistaken good-natured Winn for the evil Toyman.

Toyman attempted to frame his doppelgänger for terrorism by killing Andrea Rojas with robotic white tigers. While Supergirl and the Superfriends fought off the tigers, he confronted his doppelgänger. Toyman was killed when he activated a bomb he made, but he used Obsidian Tech lenses to upload himself into the D.E.O.'s computers at the last minute in to invade the organization headquarters.[2]

Toyman activated the D.E.O.'s robotic toys to attack the organization members. So, Winn managed to enter the digital world and enters the codes to delete Toyman's consciousness while he subdues his father's doppelganger who is also in the digital world. Once Winn finishes entering the codes, Toyman's digital consciousness is deleted.[3]

Personality[]

"But they had my DNA to prove it, so I'm thinking, 'Okay, this must be some type of, you know, doppelgänger person with my father's sick, twisted brain.'"
Winn Schott on Toyman[src]

Winn deeply loved his father, Winslow Schott, Sr., whom he supported in trying to get revenge on the Chester Dunholtz of their world; to this end, Winn carried on not only the vendetta but took on the Toyman mantle to honor his father after Winslow Sr. died.

After the Crisis, the only thing Winn cared about was his father's legacy regardless of the fact that none of the people on Earth-Prime had wronged Winslow, Sr., to the point his delusion almost ruined his Earth-Prime counterpart's life.

As his Prime doppelgänger pointed out, Winn is just as insanse as his father, perhaps even more so given Toyman's erratic behavior. Even Earth-Prime Winslow Schott Sr.'s digital copy was horrified of this Winn's actions, further cementing just how unhinged Toyman was.[2]

Abilities[]

  • Genius-level intellect: Winn was a highly intelligent individual, like his doppelgänger.[2]
    • Expert engineer : Winn demonstrated a high level of skill in engineering by designing many toy-related traps and robots, even ones that were able to rival the Superfriends.[2]
  • Skilled hand-to-hand combatant: Winn was a capable hand-to-hand combatant; enough to hold his own against his father's doppelgänger.[3]
