After living in their house for a little over two years, Amanda, of the blog Simply Maggie, and her husband decided it was time to remodel the kitchen. They'd tried a few stop-gap measures to make the kitchen more to their taste, but it was still in need of a major makeover. Amanda's plan had always been to keep the cabinets and just paint them, but they had a lingering mustiness that just wouldn't go away. Danielle and her family just finished six months of renovations (phew!) and moved into their new, old 1942 home. This is what their kitchen used to look like. Wanna see it now? From Danielle: My favorite room, by far, is the kitchen. We refinished the original hardwood floors, chose natural cherry wood cabinets with a brown glaze, bright white Corian solid surface countertops, a farmhouse sink, and subway tile with charcoal grout.

The fridge transformation is ridiculously awesome!
