We have used these exact materials time & time again, for multiple projects, to achieve the White Oak look I love! My go-to stain combo that works every time- One thing I do before even getting started on staining: sand the wood I’m working on. Sanding is a key step you do not want to miss, as it helps remove the yellow layer that is in a lot of woods. I start with 120/150 grit and then move to 220 so it gets nice & smooth! Once sanded, I apply Minwax Pre-Stain & wipe away any excess. This helps so the stain goes on evenly. After the allotted dry time, you need to lightly sand with 220 and then apply your 1st stain (Simply White) within an Layered Stain On Wood, Light Stain For Pine Wood, Light Stain Wood Floors, Minwax Stains On Pine, Organic Modern Wood Stain, Weathered Oak Stain On Douglas Fir, White Oak Stain On Pine, Minwax White Oak Stain, White Oak Look On Pine
