The Umbrella Thorn Acacia Tree is an icon of the Serengeti plains. In the early morning light they reach their twisting limbs out welcoming in the new day. A favorite food of a lot of the grazing animals, it's wood was also used for the arc of the covenant. A truly multi-purpose tree! This morning we waited patiently, finding a spot to position to capture the rising sun. Adjusting a few times we were able to capture this moment.
