Fruithog

The fruithog was a spirit who migrated to Republic City shortly after the Harmonic Convergence of 171 AG.^[1]

History[]

Two weeks after the Harmonic Convergence of 171 AG, the fruithog had migrated to Republic City. Here, the spirit made their home in a group of vines that ran through the middle of a street. After Korra nearly crashed a satomobile into the fruithog's home, the spirit appeared before her, demanding she watch where she was going. The Avatar questioned why the spirit was living in the middle of the road, to which they responded by blaming the Avatar for the current state of the world. Korra proclaimed that she had no problem with the spirits themselves, but the vines they inhabited were problematic for Republic City. The fruithog rebuked her by claiming that the spirits and vines were one and the same. They expressed their disapproval at the Avatar's ignorance before returning to their home.^[1]

When Kuvira's power started to threaten the life in Republic City in 174 AG, the fruithog spirit left their home in the Spirit Wilds and retreated to the Tree of Time in the Spirit World. There, they listened to Korra's plea to help defend the city that had become their new home as well, though after a dragon eel spirit refused to participate in a human war, the fruithog vanished along with all the other spirits.^[2]

• The concept and design of the fruithog, which is a cross between a hedgehog and tropical fruit, was done by Angela Song Mueller.^[3]
