Lieutenant Colonel "Mac" Hanrahan was a member of the United States Colonial Marine Corps. As of 2184, Hanrahan was assigned to the 33rd Marine Assault Unit. Having spent much of his career inside a tank, Hanrahan pushed for M40 Ridgeway Heavy Tanks to be attached to the 33rd MAU. Hanrahan was also markedly parsimonious with squad resources, leaving the Marines under his command often feeling underpowered.
