MGM’s “Something of Value" starring Rock Hudson and Sidney Poitier at the Pantages Theatre came out in June of 1957. The corner now has a different sign alerting passersby that they’re at Hollywood and Vine, and it’s nice but there’s something classy and timeless about that golden ribbon above the woman’s head that I wish was still there.
