Do you respect your own time? After talking and working with several developers over the years, it seems that there are largely two camps when it comes to respecting one's time. On one side, are the people that charge for every billable minute - if they're not being paid then they aren't working. The other side is more freeform, willing to virtually be "on-call" all the time without any overtime being attributed to them. On paper, it seems silly to do any extra work without additional compensation, however, when you work in the human element of a workplace, trying to lock down everything into specific timeframes is really difficult and sometimes impossible. In this episode, Matt and Mike discussed respecting your time as a web developer diving into billable hours, details in invoicing, managing package deals, and more.
