Lionfish Mermaid 🦁⠀ ⠀ -Day 4 of Mermay-⠀ Another beautiful fish....but deadly!☠️⠀ The look of lionfish always remind me of fearless warriors and fighters (they’re poisonous, and also considered as invasive species.) So I gave her a more buff body type! I love drawing muscles but I also need to do more studies on it! :o⠀ I used reference for the pose, it turned out really fun to experiment with mermaid anatomy! The "Little" Mermaid, Alessandro Pizzi

I decided to join the first ArtstationJAM with a short project to test out how recording works. This is my take on The Little Mermaid from Andersen, with a "little" spin. I'll do a couple more characters from the story and probably fit all the processes together in a file to make the project into a tutorial. If anyone is interested, I'll upload the full length process of the Princess for free on my store later, as i need to test that too.
