Sanding is a key step you do not want to miss, as it helps remove the yellow layer that is in a lot of woods. I start with 120/150 grit and then move to 220 so it gets nice & smooth!

Once sanded, I apply Minwax Pre-Stain & wipe away any excess. This helps so the stain goes on evenly. After the allotted dry time, you need to lightly sand with 220 and then apply your 1st stain (Simply White) within an hour of applying the Pre-Stain.

Leave for a few minutes & wipe off excess. Once dry, apply Minwax Provincial & wipe off pretty quickly, (unless you want a darker stain).

Once dry, apply a sealer. I lik Pale Wood Stain, Scandinavian Wood Stain Colors, Stain Pine To Look Like Cedar, Mixing Paint And Stain Together, Stain For Maple Wood, Varathane Early American Stain, Pickled Oak Stain On White Oak, White Oak Stain Formula, Yellow Pine Stain Colors
