Synopsis for "Scavenged"

Ten weeks ago, Scavenger is captured by Mera on a tropical island. He wakes up in the Aquarium, Atlantis' maximum security prison. Four weeks later, the Ocean Master breaks him out of prison and asks him if he knows what the guidestones from the island really are. He takes Scavenger to the broadcast station and gets him to activate the equipment by himself while holding a guidestone, assuring him that the gem will protect him. Scavenger survives and appears to absorb the guidestone, seemingly becoming more confident as a result. Mortimer agrees to bring another person to the station and activate the sleepers while Orm distracts the Aquaman Family by attacking the United Nations; in return, Orm promises to arrange another fight between Mortimer and Aquaman.

In the present day, Black Manta attacks Scavenger to protect Jackson, but Mortimer's new armour and attitude means he puts up a surprisingly good fight against the greater villain and comes close to beating him until Jackson intervenes and damages his armour. Scavenger tells the Hydes they are already dead and flies away, they let him go as neither of them are able to chase him. Manta sincerely thanks Jackson and compliments his fighting skills, to his son's discomfort, then offers to help with the cleanup. Meanwhile, as Bob Moss is riding a train to Metropolis he is able to telepathically connect many of the other sleepers around the world and activate them, sending them to attack major targets.

The Aquamen and Manta return to Atlantis and meet with the rest of the Aquaman Family to discuss their next moves. Arthur and Manta will track down the first sleeper who was activated, as they will be controlling the others; Ha'Wea will go to the United Nations as Atlantis' interim ambassador to reassure the surface authorities and prevent them declaring war on Atlantis; Tula will handle the Atlantean High Council; Garth will liaise with the superheroes and Jackson and Mera will build a new broadcast station to deactivate the sleepers.

At the United Nations, Ha'Wea tells the Security Council that the attacks are being launched by rogue Atlantean separatists and is able to convince them not to take any action for the moment. However, one of the ambassadors is a sleeper and she detonates a suicide bomb. Ha'Wea is injured but survives, and Jackson rushes to the surface to get him back to Atlantis. When Jackson returns, Mera introduces him to Mister Terrific, who will be helping them build the station.
