Urrika was one of two major continents found on the planet, Krypton; the other was Lurvan.
History
Urrika is considered to be where the Kryptonian civilization began. For 20 generations the El-House ruled the Urrika continent as the Bethgars (The equivalent to Emperor or King in Krypton). The first Bethgar who also started the El dynasty was Erok-El and many years later, was his descendant, Val-El, a explorer, who discovered the Lurvan continent. Urrika came to be regarded as the "Old World" and Lurvan as the "New World". [1]
In Kryptonian year 9846, the allied nations of Urrika waged what was commonly referred to as the Last War against the city-states of Lurvan. Due to the efforts of military commander, General Pir-El and Kandorian scientist, Jes-Mo, the war eventually ended and members of the newly established Kryptonian Science Council made peace with the nations of Urrika.

- This version of Urrika, including all history and corresponding appearances, was erased from existence following the collapse of the original Multiverse in the 1985–86 Crisis on Infinite Earths event and later restored following the rebirth of the infinite Multiverse during the Dark Crisis of 2022-2023. Even though other versions of the character may have appeared, this information does not apply to those versions.
