Synopsis for "Chapter Three: The War For New Kandor"
Zod, Ursa and their army battle the Khund invaders; Ursa defends the capital city while Zod and a squad of Eradicator drones act as a rapid response force around the planet. The native forces are brave but no match for the Khunds; however, the two Kryptonians turn the tide of the battle. The Khunds launch a device at one of Jekuul's yellow suns, temporarily transforming it into a red sun. Zod and Ursa's powers quickly fade, forcing them to land, and they are both set upon by bands of Khunds.
The Khunds are able to overwhelm Zod through force of numbers, but the device starts to lose effect and Jekuul's sun begins to revert to normal. As Zod's strength returns he fights back and the Khunds flee back to their ship in orbit. The Khunds retreat, but launch an orbital bombardment directly on Zod as they leave. He quickly recovers and flies back to the city, looking for Ursa. He finds her dead in the street, run through with Khund swords.
