Marid was an immortal being that attempted to stop the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand and avoid World War I but was stopped by his brother Adnan.

History

In the present, Marid attempted to kill his brother and began plotting a scheme that involved John Constantine finding Swamp Thing.
