Synopsis for "The Monkey King and I, Part 2 of 4"

The Ultra-Humanite fires a Kryptonite-infused energy blast at Supergirl, but Marcus jumps in the way of it, proving that he is not a villain. Supergirl destroys Humanite's gun, when suddenly a Lazarus storm reaches Metropolis, raining Lazarus Resin down onto the city and the two heroes. The rain repairs the crystalline battery of Humanite's gun and he attempts to take another shot at Supergirl, but she knocks him unconscious. She hears multiple cries of distress from the city and flies over, telling Marcus to keep an eye on the Ultra-Humanite. Marcus ties up the Humanite's body and changes back into human form, then goes inside to check on his parents.

When he reached the lab his father tells him that Gerard is currently in another body. Gerard returns to the body in the lab and complains about Supergirl punching him, and so Marcus realises that Gerard is the Ultra-Humanite. Meanwhile in Metropolis, Supergirl finds civilians being mutated into monsters by the rain and running amok. She tries to fight a civilian who has changed into a Gorgon-like creature, but when she flies into a sunny patch her strength and invulnerability fail her and she is easily overpowered.

Marcus has been itching since he was caught in the rain and so takes a shower to try and stop it. While he is showering he wonders where Pigsy is and accidentally pulls out a hair. The hair changes into a tiny chibi version of him, when previously his hair clones had been malformed. When he gets out of the shower Kaya calls him again, worried about him because things are going crazy in Metropolis, and sends him a clip of the snake monster beating Supergirl.

In Metropolis, the creature throws Supergirl into a crashed bus and her powers return. She throws a seat at the monster and knocks it down, but when she leaves the bus her powers fail again and the creature recovers before she can finish it. Monkey Prince arrives to help and attempts to stop the creature, but he is overcome by itching and scratches furiously. He sheds dozens of hairs which form into clones, distracting the monster as it eats them. The itching spell passes and Marcus takes advantage of the creature being preoccupied to knock it out, but when he does it changes back into Dennis, one of his new friends from school.

Meanwhile back at Gerard's house, he uses a sample of the rainwater to regenerate an old phantom crystal lens, and tells Winston that they will use it to bring the Monkey King back from the Phantom Zone.

Supergirl says they need to assemble a team of heroes and stop the storm. She attempts to fly but her powers conk out again and she asks Monkey Prince to carry her to the Hall of Justice. When they reach the Hall her powers return again and she realises that her powers have been somehow inverted so that sunlight weakens her. She call in all available heroes to deal with the crisis.
