History

A young man named Robert Galt was on his knees before Superman who had just saved his life from murderers, the man believed Superman to be a God. Later Clark Kent willing to find who was behind the attempted murder, went to talk with Bob at the Daily Planet when suddenly Galt reveled his powers which he used to project one of his memory to Clark and Perry, a power that according to him acquired through learning the way of the one, true Superman. In the vision Galt shows how a group of people that called themselves "Fellowship" in California were praying after a Superman statue, when they suddenly gained superpowers and were consequently attacked by a group of "non-believers" called The Consortium.

Superman decided to travel with Galt to California to investigate the cult, the two finally met with Mother Tierra in the Fellowship hideout, while in the hideout, Clark Kent perceives some kind of radiation coming out of nowhere, he think that it's someone with incredibly powerful technology manipulating the cultists.

It's eventually reveled that it was Darkseid giving energy to both the Fellowship and the Consortium to fuel some sort of holy war, Superman destroyed the source of energy and all the cultists lost their powers, then Darkseid made his reveal to Superman, just to use a Boom Tube to teleport The Consortium leader John Hodges in the "Scream Center" of Apokolips, Superman tried to stop him but failed. Consequentially the Fellowship was disbanded.[1]

The cult reappeared in Metropolis following the death of Superman, preaching about how Superman would return from the dead to save all of us.[2]

Another Superman cult appeared when they kidnapped Lois Lane, they wanted to burn her alive for refusing Superman to be with Clark Kent, they were stopped by Superman and Batman.[3]
