"Oakey Dokey" is the second segment of the first episode of the Disney Channel animated series, Hamster & Gretel.

Synopsis[]

Kevin and Gretel disagree over how to stop a meteor.

Plot[]

A popcorn factory is on fire and the water line to the fire hydrant is not working, resulting in Hamster and Gretel arriving to save the day. Kevin tries to give specific instructions to Gretel on how to put out the fire, but she refuses to listen entirely, resulting in Hamster having to properly do the work. Afterwards, Kevin takes the two to a family picnic where Bailey and her parents are as well. Gretel and Bailey climb up their favorite tree, Oakey, where they reminisce on how they became friends. Meanwhile, Gretel's actions from earlier resulted in her redirecting a meteor towards Earth.

The next morning, Fred alerts Kevin who sends Hamster and Gretel to pick up the orchestra dome to use to redirect the meteor, but Gretel's impatience has her instead punching the meteor back up. While successful, a piece of it breaks off and destroys Oakey. Kevin tries to comfort her, but she and Hamster put the entire tree back together with glue as if nothing happened. Kevin is slightly perturbed as he feels that Gretel has not learned anything, but Fred tells him that she should be happy that they saved the world. Gretel then gives Kevin a literal lift in the mini-van.

Meanwhile, siblings Lauren and Lyle argue with one another after their van breaks down. The UFO that gave Hamster and Gretel their powers suddenly shows up and gives them powers as well, but specifically tells them to use them for evil. While confused by the message, the two of them decide to follow suit, ending the episode with To be continued...
