"Remote Possibilities" is the 18th episode of the fourth season of Pepper Ann. It aired on February 17, 2000.
Synopsis[]
Nicky and Stewart try each others' hobbies out to gain perspective on their relationship.
Plot[]
Pepper Ann, Milo and Nicky go about their usual daily activities with Stewart occasionally passing them by. Stewart soon apologizes to Nicky for not being around a lot as he is busy trying to perfect his RC racing for a tournament. Nicky tells him not to worry as she "barely noticed". Pepper Ann and Milo tell her that that was a horrible thing to say to him as it implies indifference in their romantic life. Nicky does not see it at first, but quickly realizes her mistake when Stewart angrily repeats what she said. Against her better judgment, Nicky decides to listen to Pepper Ann.
Pepper Ann suggests that Nicky hang out with Stewart at the RC track and pick up his hobby. She accidentally crashes his backup and the two enrage fellow student Shelf McClain. Nicky admits that she hates Stewart's hobby, leading Pepper Ann to take Stewart out to pick up an instrument; in this case the bassoon. Despite his difficulty with it, Nicky admires him for taking it up. While out at a concert, the two of them get into an argument over their respective interests and embarrass themselves when the conductor calls them out.
Nicky believes she has ruined her relationship with Stewart, but Milo tells her that they both need to respect their interests in order to be a better couple. Realizing that Pepper Ann is the reason their relationship was nearly ruined, she tricks her into going to the Narnival with Milo. Nicky shows up at the RC track to give Stewart his fixed backup RC car and the two resume their relationship while also mocking Pepper Ann who has been forced to cosplay as a princess for the other convention goers to "rescue".
