Rogue (real name Anna-Marie Raven) is a superhero from Marvel Comics. She is a mutant with the ability to absorb the life force, attributes, memories, and superpowers of anyone through physical touch.
Rogue was created by Chris Claremont and Michael Golden.

Powers and abilities[]
- Life-Force Absorption: Rogue possesses the mutant ability to absorb the life-force energy, personality, knowledge, skills, and memories of any person she touches. The absorption process usally leaves a person either unconscious or in a coma, depending on how much she drains from them. If she touches a person for too long, then she could kill them. A side effect of this ability is that Rogue retains a mental imprint of the person she absorbs.
- Power Absorption: Rogue's absorption abilities can also allow her to absorb the powers of other mutants. This absorption is only temporary. However, in the comics, Rogue acquired enhanced reflexes, flight, invulnerability, and superhuman strength, after she had permanently absorbed Ms. Marvel's superhuman powers.
Weaknesses[]
- Lack of Control: Rogue's life-force absorbing powers are constantly active, and unable to fully control. This renders her incapable of touching others without the absorption process taking place. The only way she can safely touch people is by wearing gloves. The inability to safely touch people also deprives her from having any close or intimate relationships with others.

X-Men '97[]
Rogue appears in the Disney+ Marvel animated series X-Men '97, which is a direct continuation of the 1992 X-Men animated series. She is revealed to have a past with Magneto, which none of the X-Men know about.
