The Book of Khartoum is the 81st episode of Aladdin that aired on September 30, 1995.
Plot[]
In his lair, Mozenrath tries to find a new way to gain more power so as to conquer the world. In his Citadel, he brings a book known as the Book of Khartoum , which contains the key to all of the magical secrets in the cosmos and which took him 7 years to search in the 7 Deserts. Khartoum is seen as a normal book with an angry wizard face but after Mozenrath, who is worthy of Khartoum's magic, releases him, he comes to life, his eyes turn red permanently, and floats. When Khartoum finds out that Mozenrath is a power-hungry wizard, which of course, he likes, he tells him that the key to all of the magical secrets in the cosmos is held within a magical gem called the Philosopher's Stone. Khartoum tells him that he needs to build a furnace to heat a small quantity of sands, crystals, flakes of gold and one element that is absolutely essential; a cosmic power source strong enough to heat the furnace. Mozenrath states he think he knows just the source he needs.
Meanwhile in Agrabah, Genie prepares to go on a date with his girlfriend, the female genie Eden. He waits for her at a beach, where a hooded figure conducting a carriage suddenly appears. Genie gets in the carriage, stating that a walk along the beach at night would be very romantic, but he just falls into a rather obvious trap and is captured by Mozenrath. Abu and Iago rush back to Agrabah to get help. When Aladdin, Eden and the others learn of this, they go after Genie. Mozenrath places Genie in a huge, glass bottle, linked to the magic kettle where he is making the Philosopher's Stone and starts to absorb all his power into the furnace. But even the Genie's whole magic isn't enough. Then, Eden storms into the castle demanding Genie, but she can't free him. Eden ultimately offers Mozenrath to take her instead and the sorcerer feigns to accept, but she ends up trapped as well. Aladdin arrives and tries to stop his enemy, but Mozenrath sends the whole group flying through the window, to the desert.
Mozenrath completes the Philosopher's Stone, but it then floats out of his hand towards Khartoum. The Stone embeds itself in Khartoum's "turban" and then, Khartoum's body rises out of the book, therefore, he has been released from his imprisonment. It is revealed that Khartoum double-crossed Mozenrath and had been using him for his own ends, before he grows to giant size. Aladdin releases both Genie and Eden, who use the legendary Genie Embrace to restore each other's powers fully, and they easily defeat Khartoum by grabbing the Philosopher's Stone and sending it into space, as it will soon self-destruct anyway; thus imprisoning Khartoum in his own magical book again for good which then disappears.
Afterwards, Genie and Eden think of their adventure as their big anniversary. They leave with Aladdin and the others while a brooding Mozenrath is upset by his failure once again.
