"Trick or TRACE-E" is the second segment of the eighth episode of Spidey and his Amazing Friends. It premiered on October 1, 2021.
Synopsis[]
Green Goblin manages to throw the heroes' plan off track.
Plot[]
The episode begins inside Web-Quarters, with Team Spidey being excited for the Halloween Parade taking place later today. However, TRACE-E alerts the heroes that Gobby is also at the parade planning something nefarious. When deciding how they are going to stop him when they do not know his exact location, TRACE-E brings up a map of the parade. Team Spidey departs with TRACE-E in Spidey's backpack.
Upon arrival at the parade, TRACE-E falls out of Spidey's backpack and lands in Gobby's jack-o-lantern. When Spidey realizes, he contacts TRACE-E, but Gobby delightfully tells him that he will have to find them first. Spidey searches for Gobby in one direction while Ghost and Spin take off in another. Gobby secretly summons his glider, but TRACE-E grabs his remote and messes with the controls, causing the glider to fly radically. By the time Gobby regains control, Team Spidey finds him. Gobby lures Spidey over to his Pumpkin Float as he tosses goo balls everywhere, before gooing Spidey stuck to the float as he makes it head towards the parade.
Spin tries to stop the float with his webs but fails. Ghost hops onto Gobby's glider and fights him for the remote as Spin again unsuccessfully tries to stop the float with his webs. Spidey then suggests that they break the top, causing the float to stop in its tracks just before reaching the parade. After Ghost and Spin free Spidey, the trio trap Gobby and rescue TRACE-E. The episode ends with the heroes and TRACE-E going to enjoy the Halloween Parade.
