Reading aloud

It’s perfectly okay to defy societal convention. I actually encourage it. But know what you’re up against and be prepared for the difficulty that can sometimes come with it. Our culture only tolerates rebels to a degree. Once you’ve crossed that line, you’re in tricky territory. This isn’t to say there’s no value here. It just might not be comfortable. Thumbing your nose at the establishment is not for the faint at heart. Go for it.

We’ve much proof that reading aloud with our kids enhances academic ability and communication skills. But mostly we desire the glue.

Great FREE websites that have stories read aloud online. She also has a FREEBIE book critic form the students can complete after they listen to the story. I like this for my technology corner or my listening to reading part of Daily 5. Pinning so I don't forget to try all of these reading websites school year. My reluctant readers will love these.
