The Cerealian Dragon Balls (シリアルせいのドラゴンボール Shiriaru-sei no Doragon Bōru, lit. "The Dragon Balls of Planet Cereal") are a set of Dragon Balls on Planet Cereal.

Overview[]

Unlike the other sets of Dragon Balls, Planet Cereal has a set of two Dragon Balls. They are noticeably smaller than Earth's Dragon Balls, being about the size of a ping pong ball. They have red stars (black in a trailer) on them, and a password is required once they are gathered in order to summon Toronbo. These Dragon Balls are currently tied to Monaito, the last Namekian on Cereal. These Dragon Balls are unique in a number of other ways; they do not turn to stone for any length of time after a single use, allowing them to be used as long as they could be found.

It is unknown what limitations, if any, exist on the kind of wishes that Toronbo can grant; however, they are the only known Dragon Balls (other than the extremely difficult to gather Super Dragon Balls) which can increase a person's strength substantially. They are also unique in that some wishes may not be granted without incurring a cost or price, such as the loss of one's remaining lifespan.

Biography[]

Background[]

The Namekians who arrived on Planet Cereal created the Dragon Balls. One day, when the Saiyans invaded Cereal, the creator of the Cereal Dragon Balls gave them to Monaito to look after the Namekians were wiped out with the Cerealians.[1]

Monaito had gathered the Dragon Balls to wish for Bardock to return to his home planet. However, he refused to leave until he defeated Gas and instead wished for his sons to thrive. The Two-Star Ball was lost forty-years prior to the Granolah the Survivor Saga, while Monaito found and kept the One-Star Ball in his possession.[2]

Granolah the Survivor Saga[]

Monaito continued to hold the One-Star Ball in his collection, while a young Sugarian had discovered the other by chance, leading scientists to investigate. Granolah steals both balls and summons Toronbo, wishing to become the strongest warrior in the universe.

Eventually, the Heeters discovered the existence of the Cerealian Dragon Balls from Granolah. They traveled to Earth and stole the Dragon Radar in order to locate the Dragon Balls. After successfully gathering the Cerealian Dragon Balls, Elec summons Toronbo and wishes for his brother Gas to surpass Granolah in power. When Gas appears, the existence of the Dragon Balls is revealed to Goku and Vegeta.

After the Heeters' were defeated, Granolah plans to collect the Cerealian Dragon Balls and use them to restore the planet. After this, Monaito revealed that he would seal them away after that due to the trouble they caused.

Trivia[]

  • The Cerealian Dragon Balls' stars being colored black instead of the usual red in one of the trailers is a reference to the Black Star Dragon Balls from Dragon Ball GT.
  • It is unknown if they exist in Future Trunks' timeline.
  • The Cerealian Dragon Balls are unique in that instead of the traditional seven, there are only two required to summon the eternal dragon Toronbo. Additionally, they are the smallest known set of Dragon Balls in terms of both quantity and size.
