Special Beam Cannon (Beast)^[2] is the strongest variation of Special Beam Cannon used by Gohan Beast.

Overview[]

As crimson lightning strikes around him, Gohan smirks and begins gathering streaks of bluish-white light, pulsing crimson and azure bolts of ki before holding his index and middle fingers to his forehead. Then, Gohan yells the technique's name and brings his charging arm forward (holding it with his other arm to support it) to fire a brilliant white beam at the target, completely decimating them.

Usage[]

Gohan Beast used this technique against Cell Max's Explosive Scream in an energy clash which ended in a stalemate until Cell Max was distracted by Goten and Trunks.^[1]

Film Appearances[]

In Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, Gohan Beast's Special Beam Cannon (Beast) clashes with Cell Max's Explosive Scream and wins, obliterating the weak point on his head and causing the android monstrosity to explode.

Video Game Appearances[]

Dragon Ball Heroes marks the technique's video game debut as the Super Attack of UGM3-SEC Son Gohan: SH.

In Legends, Gohan Beast uses the technique when his Explosive Beast Rush Ultimate Move Arts causes a Legendary Finish to be triggered. RED Ultimate Gohan can use this technique upon transforming into Beast and using Violet Beast Kick to trigger a Legendary Finish.

In Xenoverse 2, as part of the Hero of Justice Pack 2 DLC, it is named Special Beam Cannon (Beast) and is Gohan Beast's Ultimate Skill. It can be randomly obtained for the Future Warrior in New Parallel Quest 162: "The Man, the Myth, the Yamcha". It is a 5-Ki Bar Ultimate in-game and deals more damage when the user has low health. The move can be charged up to stage 3 and is unblockable. The stun-kick, if landed, will trap the opponent in an inescapable cutscene, in which the user will charge the Special Beam Cannon (Beast) in between stages 1 & 2. In the story mode mission of the Hero of Justice Pack 2 DLC, if the player chooses to prevent Gamma 2 from using his Core Breaker to stop Cell Max, Android 16 will use his own Self Destruct Device instead, leaving his body about to be crushed by Cell Max's foot. The Gammas retrieve Android 16's body while Orange Piccolo holds Cell Max off, but without Krillin around to remind him of using his own giant form, Piccolo is eventually crushed himself and Gohan awakens his Beast form upon witnessing everything. Upon defeating Cell Max, a cutscene will play where both Gohan and Piccolo combine Special Beam Cannons to obliterate the monstrous android with a single shot.
