Death Train, also known as Detonator, is a 1993 made for TV movie, one of Pierce Brosnan's earlier films. It also stars Christopher Lee, Patrick Stewart, Ted Levine and Alexandra Paul. The script was based on an Alistair MacLean novel of the same title.

Pierce Brosnan plays the role of a special forces member given the task of stopping a Russian general from activating two nuclear bombs (one of which happens to be on a train). Plutonium was stolen in order to make the bombs, and the only person who knows the combination to disarm them has been subjected to a vast amount of radiation and is slowly dying.
