Happy Yet Apocalyptic

It is a terribly sweet song... yet there is a section of the lyrics that has an odd ring to it. "And Windy has stormy eyes that flash at the Son of Lies..."

Just throwing that out there. Don't know what to make of it (but lyrics seem to frequently not make any sense, anyway). —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gingermint (talkcontribs) 05:12, 27 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dude, it's the SOUND of lies. Jeez! Captain Quirk (talk) 00:14, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"Rumor"?

From the article"According to rumor, the original lyrics by Ruthann Friedman were about a man..." "According to rumor" seem an odd way to put it. On the demo (easily found on YouTube, and worth a listen, especially if you found the Association a bit too "poppy"), she clearly sang "Smiling at everybody he sees" (emphasis mine). Not exactly ambiguous as to gender. - Jmabel | Talk 04:55, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Addition

I can't beleive that this is missing the appearance of this song on Sesame Street. I beleive that it featured "Windy" flying around in a cape (or was that Grover) 69.45.100.129 (talk) 16:38, 30 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
