What Is Osprey Extended Fit?
Oprey has launched a series of backpacks under the common name Extended Fit, and this includes modifications of packs from some of their standard series. All of them include the following features: The Extended Fit packs are designed to fit larger hips and this means that padding is considerably extended. The shoulder harness padding is extended. These packs have longer hipbelt and longer shoulder straps. They also have a longer sternum strap. They come with repositioned and much larger hip belt pockets. All packs the from Extended Fit group come with the features of their corresponding standard series. So the extended features are extras to what you normally have in Osprey packs.
What Is Osprey Atmos & Aura AG LT Backpacks Series?
Osprey Atmos and Aura AG LT backpacks are two completely new series that Osprey launched for the last season. It appears that the letters LT in the name imply that this is about reduced weight, they describe them as lightweight packs. Many of the essential features of the standard Atmos & Aura AG packs are still present, but some important features are missing and they are listed here.
What Is Deuter Aircontact Core Backpacks Series?
At Deuter site they describe their Aircontact Core series as “comfort at its core”. My guess is there is more about it regarding the word core in the name. They have built this new series that is by features and weight in between their Aircontact X and Aircontact Ultra. So formally, Aircontact Core is moderately heavy as compared to Aircontact X. But the Core series has far more features than the ultralight Aircontact Ultra series. In my view, this, together with the volume range, is what makes them “core packs”.
