"This my super cute lamb (sheep) applique bag. All four lambs are different colors, and looking different ways. I used pure linen from my pinafore business to make the outside and lining. A rice bag is by definition, a scrap fabric creation. Piecing whatever fabric was left over in the house to make a bag to carry offerings of rice to the temple. This is a modern type of Komebukuro, a traditional bag to hold gifts. I have used my fun fabrics and quilting stitching and trims to create these rice bags and every bag/pouch is different, OOAK. (one of a kind). Interfacing creates a sturdy feel to the bag. This pouch stands up by itself in the pictures.
