This was a pretty fantastic redemption arc for Teagan, and the perfect way to close out the series. From villain to vixen, I found it fascinating to see what was driving her to the actions we saw earlier in the series. Chase’s habit of blunt honesty was refreshing to witness, though when it wasn’t tempered with kindness, he came off as a little harsh and judgemental. I really enjoyed watching these two as they dismantles their protective walls, brick by brick, and learned to trust in one another and the rest of the people they loved.

Teagan Burn is after the property that was once owned by Chase Love, but his cousin owns the property and won’t cell it back to Chase and his mother because of some family feud. Teagan can help Chase get this property back and with his help restore to its glory so she can use it for her Women’s shelter. But Teagan is the in the bad books with her new found siblings and Chase is her half-brother's bestie. So, he wants Chase to keep an eye on what Teagan is up too... What Chase does not see coming is the attraction that could burn down the house whenever Teagan is in his prevue. And the feeling is mutual on Teagan’s side. She is trying to make her way back into the good books, but there are roadblocks her way and the one big one is her nemesis, Declan Scott. He has meddled in her family and caused a lot of heartache and misunderstands amongst her family. She will not let him win this time. Can Chase trust Teagan with his heart and with his home. There is a lot at stake for both of them. What will win out, Love or Hate.
Of all the books that I have read in this series, I think this one has a slight edge as my favorite. Teagan has drawn me in from when she first showed up in the series and I knew there was a lot more to her that she was really letting the world and her family see. Her attraction to Chase just made me like her more. Watching chase fight his attraction to Teagan and to do as his friend asked, was taking its toll on him both physically and emotionally and I could wait to see these two enemies, to friends to lover and see if they both got what they wanted to live their HEA.
A Five star for sure.

This is book six in The Mills and Boon Desire : Sweet Tea and Scandal series and it is Teagan and Chase's story. This series just gets better and better with each book written. Teagan has got a bit of a reputation of being unreasonable but when she wants to buy a house and then it into a woman's shelter her path is blocked and she will need to ask Chase to help her but unfortunately there is a problem as he is best friend's with her half brother and things are getting more complicated and not going as planned. Chase is an architect in Charleston and he wants to get the house back that was taken from his family but with a family feud in place things seem impossible and then he meets Teagan who says that she will help him if he helps her but complications arise as they are both attracted to each other and have strong chemistry so how will they handle all the problems that keep arising and will they be able to trust each other and work together to get what they both want and maybe along the way they will get the happy ending that they both deserve, well you will just have to read this book to see what will happen next and what the outcome will be for them all. This book is definitely worth reading as it has great characters and a storyline that pulled you in and kept your attention throughout and I can't wait to read more book's in the future.

This is the final book in the “Sweet Tea And Scandal Series”. This is an entertaining, fast-paced easy read, drama filled, action packed, redemption, great characters and a great plot that held me captive. Chase is an architect and Teagan is a New York socialite who has her share of drama. Teagan and Chase both want to buy property that was in Chase’s family that his cousin now possesses. Chase’s cousin refuses to sell him the property because they are feuding. Teagan wants to buy the property renovate it and have it for a woman’s shelter. Teagan has done somethings in the past and they are coming back to cause trouble for her in the form of Declan. Teagan and Chase are attracted to each, but Chase is so fighting his attraction.
Can Chase get the property from his cousin back into his family's hands or will Teagan get the property, whoever receives the property Teagan or Chase can the two work together and renovate the property, now that Teagan has redeemed herself how will things be for her, can Chase and Teagan find an HEA?

The Trouble with Love and Hate is the latest addition to the Sweet Tea and Scandal series. Chase Love just wants to make his mother happy and Teagan Burns just wants to solve the rift she created with her family. To do this, they hope to renovate his family’s historic homestead, but he has to get his stubborn cousin to sell it to him first. Teagan just wants to show her newly re-found family that she’s in this for the long haul. But, Teagan’s got her own troubles with an arch-rival from New York. Working together, they hope to create something beautiful but end up falling in love and building a relationship. It’s not until Teagan’s confronted by her rival, who wants one of her other properties, that they learn that love can go a lot farther than hate.

This is an enemies to lovers romance featuring Chase Love, an architect attempting to buy his family’s historical home but is blocked by his cousin who refuses to sell to him, and Teagan Burn, a New York socialite with a tarnished reputation who is trying to change her behavior by buying the home Chase wants and turning it into a Women’s shelter. Even though they are rivals for the home, Chase and Teagan have a strong attraction to each other. This well written novel has great characters, some humor, drama, and sizzling passion.

This was a sweet and straightforward read. I like that chase was direct and did not hide the fact that he was told to watch her so she doesn't make a mistake as she did in the beginning. Then again Teagan actions are understandable too, having found your biological family, you would want to do anything possible for them to accept you. Given that she took the wrong way; they shouldn't be pointing the finger since her adoptive cousin plotted against her in a certain way. But in the end, all is well and I love that she sacrificed her past to be able to build a future that she wants with Chase.

I enjoyed this romance story with all of the characters. The two main characters were Teagan Burns and Chase Love.
Teagan Burns wants to buy a house. But it is also the same house that Chase Love wants but can't get his cousin to sell it to him. If she does get it it will need fixed up. That is were Chase Love come in. He is a architect.
This was a fun story to read. It had action, drama and adventure throughout. It had a few giggles within.

The Trouble with Love and Hate by Cat Schield is a good, and enjoyable enemies to lovers southern romance read. This book is the final installment of the Sweet Tea and Scandal series that is set in Charleston, SC. The story has a good story line. The characters are good, and they have good chemistry. This story is a really good redemption romance read.

Book six and the final story of the Sweet Tea and Scandal series. I liked this part of the blurb "The line between love and hate is about to be demolished." This is Charleston architect Chase Love and Teagan Burns' story, it is well written and was a great story to end this series on. I enjoyed seeing them get their happy ending.

This was a great story to finish the series on where we have a love story between Chase and Teagan and the aim to renovate Chase's family historic homestead but for different reasons which is two of my favourite things.
You get great characters, conflict and passion as well as some laughs and a rocky road to love and happiness.

There is a fine line between love and hate. It can be a fun but infuriating line. This is such a good story about enemies crossing the line to so much more. The story is about Chase and Teagan, an architect and socialite. Someone has met their match in this enjoyable story. It is a nicely developed story with some wonderful characters.

This was a really good book! I loved the characters and the storyline. Chase and Teagan had such great chemistry but plenty of bumps in the road to their HEA. If you are looking for it all in a book, humor, love/hate, redemption and romance then this is the book for you.

I began The Trouble with Love and Hate with a skeptical mind, oh, not that I wouldn’t enjoy the story but I didn’t know if I could forgive the heroine for her previous actions. After all, this was Teagan and she had caused so much heartache upon her arrival in Charleston. Yet, in that same frame of mind, I firmly believe in second chances… but only one if you still mess with me then I’m done. Simple. So Teagan had one shot at changing my mind about her… and she delivered big time.
It’s not easy for an author to redeem a villainess – it’s just not. So, hats off to Cat Schield for turning Teagan around to see her own flaws and begin to work to change them — and for giving us the background about Teagan to understand why she reacted the way that she did upon her arrival in Charleston. By the story’s ending I was firmly behind this new, changed Teagan because I finally understood why, and that is important to me as a reader. It has to make sense for me to believe it (unless it’s paranormal or sci-fi) and I hurt for Teagan for the mistakes she made, and the way she was treated even though she completely deserved much of that treatment from her newly discovered family members at the time. For me this one wasn’t so much about Chase (who is a stunning hero) it was more about the redemption of Teagan, perhaps a self-love story just as much as a romance for me in many ways.
I enjoyed The Trouble with Love and Hate so much, it was a perfect story for this heroine to learn some lessons and for others to see her true worth and even understand her history as to why she behaved so badly. If you love to see a transformation in a formerly bad character and love a good romance as well, then this one is perfect for you.
