still, I desperately wanted a better ending for Gojo Satoru who was seen as a tool until the bitter end.
but he did manage to cultivate the younger generation in Yuuji and Megumi and Nobara, and everyone else, and even if we did not get a proper mourning for him, his memory will never be forgotten. his hopes and dreams are being carried on.
Yuuji will remember him, always.
the trio are alive and well, and I can learn to be satisfied in all the themes that are still present in this ending even if i was hoping for so much more.
in the aftermath of his defeat, the not quite curse, not quite human chooses to go north—a different path.
obviously, there are things I wish were developed more, and if it were up to me the epilogue would have been so man end of an era.
I can't stop crying.
obviously, there are things I wish were developed more, and if it were up to me the epilogue would have been so much longer, but oh how I adored this series, these characters. oh, how they changed my life.
the more I sit with the ending, the more I really do like it. this series has always been about the different acts of heroism in the world. how it's more than beating a villain, how anyone who reaches out to those in need is a hero.
being a teacher makes so much sense for izuku; good teachers are society's best heroes. one for all was not the reason he was a hero, it was always his kind heart.
but he has a dream. his body still moves on its own to save others, and he is just as deserving as anyone else to achieve his dreams, even if he himself doesn't think he is.
and the people whose lives he saved and touched all helping him to achieve that dream, his classmates and All Might who know how hard he's worked and how much he's given up for others, his classmates and All Might who remind him that it's okay to choose for himself for once, was just such a perfect and beautiful ending to a wonderful series.
if anyone can be a hero and quirkless it has always been izuku midoriya. I love him so much. I am so proud of him.

“Because demons were once human too. They were human like me.”
The long version of what Kimetsu no Yaiba is about: a society overrun by monstrous human-devouring demons and humanity’s quest to kill the father of all demons and exterminate their evil from the world.
The short version: family.
It has been a long journey. A sad journey. A heartbreaking and beautiful and wondrous journey filled with love and loss and hope.
Family is so, so important in this series—the lengths that people will go and the feats that they can accomplish all to protect their loved ones is really what Kimetsu no Yaiba is all about.
So many of the characters—our heroes and our villains too—are treated with so much care. They all had a story to tell, a past that gets revealed, and desires and goals that drive them.
I love Tanjiro and his selfless heart. He shapes the world with his kindness and love. I will miss him and all of the characters so much—Nezuko, Inosuke, and Zenitsu and their unbreakable friendship. Shinobu and Kanao, Giyu and Urokodaki, Muichiro and Renguko, and truly I could list them all....more
