Essentially, my garden is annoyingly far away from larger sources of water (although I have and do use the hose from the house in the heat of the summer and I do have two IBC totes about 50 yards away connected to the outdoor shed) but I had these smaller rain barrels that could never be adequately filled due to lack of a roof to funnel the free rain water into them.   Pinterest at the time didn’t have any good designs so this is what I finagled together.
