There are both deep and superficial fascia in muscles. The deep fascia is found between adjacent muscles and superficial fascia is the adipose tissue between skin and muscles.

Skeletal muscle is characterized by its cylindrical shape. It is multinucleated because each cell is big and it needs lots of regulation. The striped in this photo are called striations. Skeletal muscle is the largest of the three muscle types, and it controls voluntary movement (unlike the others). This tissue type is mostly found attached to bones, with some exceptions, such as facial muscles.
