Ace Lightning is the titular deuteragonist of the 2002-2005 TV series of the same name and the main hero of the video game.

He is portrayed by Michael Riley.

Bio[]

Ace is the player character of Mark Hollander's video game, Ace Lightning and the Carnival of Doom. He is a Lightning Knight who follows Lord Fear and his gang to the real world to defeat them and restore the broken Amulet of Zoar.

After a lightning strike causes Ace and the game's other characters to enter the real world, he enlists Mark to help him battle Lord Doom.

Personality[]

Ace starts off as a wisecracking and heroic stock superhero, but over time he becomes more human during his experiences in the real world, developing romantic feelings for Lady Illusion, and an understanding for Mark's struggles as his sidekick. In the second season, Ace's original, already faulty programming is destroyed when Lady Illusion gives him real human emotions, making him undergo a variety of changes but also gain intuition and an understanding of human spontaneity and relationships.

Abilities[]

Ace is able to fly, has superhuman strength, and can project blasts of lightning from the wrist cannons he wears. In combat, he can wield the Lightning Lance, and the Shield of Justice which can absorb an attack and redirect it. In the second season, he gains a new pyrokinetic ability called "Ring of Flame".
