Thread winders Box 95 Bridgeport 1, Conn. I like these little thread winders designed to look like wooden spools. Set of 20 or so found in sewing box purchase at thrift store.

These sturdy thread cards are beautifully designed and are of excellent quality with the graphics printed on both sides. They are similar to those used in the 19th century for wrapping linen thread in Normandy, France. This set of six, titled Cyclists, depicts six different colors of old-fashioned facing cyclists.
