Crosshatch tile bathroom

Hello! Thank you so much for visiting my Week Six post of the One Room Challenge™. I’ve been transforming a bathroom and you can catch up with my project here .

Crosshatch subway tiles are a great option to get rid of the boredom that subway tiles bring. Here, we share a few less boring ideas to pattern subway tiles.

Tile was a huge focus in our project and was a big portion of our budget overage. But one way to stay in budget (like we did here in our basement guest bath) was to use white matte subway tile (3x6 from Zumpano Tile) and use a different pattern with darker grout. The crosshatch pattern really took this tile to the next level! (Grout is Maipei Silver)

Hint: It's inspired by houses in murder mysteries.
