This specimen was originally cleaned by a talented US preparator, but had not been degreased, which can be very problematic with fish specimens. So I had to take it apart to fit in the degreasing containers, and then it pretty much fell apart further during the process. After gluing it back together, I mounted it on a wooden base with brass rods, with a protective acrylic cover.
