This large, vintage necklace was made by the Miao people, who are mountain-dwelling peoples of China, Vietnam, Laos, Burma, and Thailand. It was used ceremonially, often for weddings, and is made from Miao silver which is an alloy of silver, copper and nickel. The five long bands are intricately engraved and feature floral motifs with contrasting geometric banding. Mounted for display on a black iron stand.
