Finish your board with your favorite butcher block oil, conditioner, or food grade mineral oil. Howard's Conditioner works very well as does the General Finishes products.

Handheld Sanders - Orbital Sanders - Belt Sanders
Once the glue-up is dry, you need only sand the cutting board as the individual slats that make up the board are the same size in length, width and height. You may use other power tools if have them or wish to add detail into the board design, but it is not required for these board projects. Clamp for a couple of minutes for best results. Initial bond is achieved in 3-­5 minutes; high strength is achieved in about 1 hour. Once cured, excess adhesive can be easily sanded.
