Country French Shutters

Shutters used to play a more important roll in homes than they do now. They were closed for security and added insulation to cold single pane windows. Today they are used more for decoration than anything else. But on the authentic French chateaux and Provence cottages they play a bigger role. They are art! They present the feel of this romantic period of architecture. Here are some of my favorite we are still reproducing.
