This artful mug was hand thrown and trimmed on my pottery wheel using white stoneware clay, it was then covered with black underglaze, then the botanical design was drawn and carved. This method is called sgraffito. It was then bisque fired and glazed and high fired in my electric kiln. Approximate size: 3.25" across the top rim and 4.25" high, holds approximately 15 ounces of liquid. This is a special mug that should be used and enjoyed.
