When I talk to people about spirituality, they commonly respond with “Oh but I’m not religious”, to which I respond “Yeah, me neither”. Then they look puzzled.
I define myself as spiritual but not religious because I believe in a higher power but do not believe in the human institutions which are supposed to connect us. I have found they are unnecessary and most often detrimental to the connection of people.
This is a reminder that your prayer IS effective. PRAYER is a powerful weapon, not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of evil.
