Truman Capote's Black and White Ball I absolutely adore the photos from Truman Capote's infamous Black and White Ball of 1966. Capote decided to host a party to mark the launch of "In Cold Blood" and the party would be his "great, big, all-time spectacular present" to himself! It was THE party of the century and was held in New York's Plaza Hotel with only 540 elite guests invited. We just helped with a small Birthday party in Greenwich with one of our most creative clients. She wanted the theme to be Truman Capote Black and White Ball so everything was black and white. Wonderful masks, black and white plumes and a major amount of balloons with streamers. She used all her beautiful place settings and went all out to make it extremely festive.

We have ardor for great escapes. F. Scott Fitzgerald gave us endless tales of gilded nights in costume that set the lights of the night on fire.
