Notice that I topstitch along the exterior panel, not the lining, when stitching along the zipper. This way I end up with neat, straight side edges as well as the neat top corners of the pouch. Also, I sew as close to the fabric zipper tab as possible (but not over the tab) during the final sewing around the perimeter of the pouch. The Essential Pouch pattern…
