Many people think of Finland as the land of cold weather, darkness, and many forest trees. However, Ossi Saarinen (previously here and here), a Finnish wildlife photographer, believes that the country is much more than just that, and he shows another surprisingly enchanting side of his motherland through nature photography.

Helsinki-based photographer Joachim Munter takes to his local finland forest to capture photos of fairytale forest animals in in the wild. The picturesque landscapes of Finnish forests provide a home for many wild animals and birds, including foxes, red squirrels, reindeers, and even bears. Munter manages to capture up-close and intimate portraits of these forest creatures in their natural habitat.
