I've done this activity with my kids a few times now and it never fails to fascinate them - and me! Simply color bubble mix with food coloring and blow bubbles onto paper - as the bubbles land and pop, they create beautiful works of art. It goes without saying that this project is best done outdoors. A great one for those lazy summer afternoons. Steps to painting with bubbles:
Mix desired watercolor shade with liquid soap and a bit of water. The consistency should be more viscous than just watercolor itself but not so thick that a paintbrush does not easily move the liquid around. Next, use a straw (metal or glass because plastic is shit) and dip the tip in. Practice blowing bubbles on your pallets first which will help you gauge your breath. If you want clean bubbles with no splatter, put a drop of water on the paper and then blow a bubble onto the drop. If you don’t care about them popping and creating a splatter texture then blow the bubble straight onto the paper. Some will pop and some wont. Experiment with the ratio of soap to water t Watercolor Bubbles Painting, Teal Study, Painting With Bubbles, A Drop Of Water, There Are No Rules, Bubble Painting, Drop Of Water, Blowing Bubbles, Bubble Art
